I'd especially enjoy a job where I can develop web-enabled database applications, but I wouldn't mind other database work either. The important things for me, if (when?) I get back into the workforce, are that I have a job where isolating is difficult to impossible, and that the job be in accordance with my values, a job that means something to me
I don't want to use Cold Fusion, I'd rather develop using PHP, which I am currently learning.
Synopsis
Twelve years of professional experience designing and implementing server-side and web enabled database applications for legal, medical and Federal government clients. Held roles as both team member and independent consultant. Five years of experience with Powerbuilder, two years with Cold Fusion and Active Server Pages (ASP) and three years with Delphi. I am currently learning how to develop web applications using PHP with the MySQL RDBMS and also how to write valid HTML, XHTML and CSS.

1996 to 2002
Design, deploy and maintain user interfaces for database applications using Powerbuilder, Delphi and Cold Fusion using ASA and Oracle RDBMS. Performed feature enhancements and maintenance on legacy applications in CA-Clipper, including custom report design and user interface enhancements. Typical application development includes the following:
DC-OSIMS - used by the Department of Navy to manage stock levels, perform inventories and control issuance of damage control and chemical, biological and radiological equipment on individual ships. I used Powerbuilder and ASA to upgrade standalone CA-Clipper application to network aware client server application; I developed initial requirements with business office and was sole developer for most of the project, including maintenance releases. Used ERWin to develop schema and create database. Configured Installshield, including modifying installation scripts, for distribution. Integrated barcode readers and printers to facilitate inventories and import capability for Clipper and MS Access (Jet) databases.
Web Tracker - used by the Department of the Navy to manage the ordering, shipping and receipt of materials for the refitting of ships. Web enabled to permit shipping and receiving points to make applicable entries. Began with unsupported legacy code, then used Cold Fusion and Oracle to perform feature enhancements as sole developer for this application.
Financial Management System - for the Department of Commerce. Worked as part of a team to develop this Powerbuilder and Oracle application.
SHIPClip - used by the Department of the Navy to manage equipment inventories for all ships en masse included in the group. Worked as part of a team to develop this Delphi and ASA application.
